Where the VOX are we? DAVE’S CIVIC :

When Dave called me up and said he wanted to do a cross country trip I was like “YES!” , then when he told me it would be 4 of us in his civic with all our gear I was like “thats gonna be tight”. Then all of the sudden he texts me with the news that Matt Fennel is coming too, and I thought , THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE. Somehow we have made it halfway across this great nation with 5 dudes and all our gear (sleeping bags, tents, cameras, clothes, boards) in a HONDA CIVIC. Matt is flying home tomorrow, He will be missed, but were all looking forward to the extra space.

Cody McEntires is a home sweet home for a man out of Belton, Texas. From country living to getting stuck at Whattaburger & Starbucks for internet,  we spent a decent amount of time in Belton. We had to deal with another day to pass the rain, but it was awesome to finally get to see Cody’s house. Over the years I always got shit from him, “wait till you play on my pool table!” It’s damn true, Cody runs it. Thanks Cody and Claudette and their dog Cloey Ann for having us!

Where the VOX are we? : NEW ORLEANS DIY SPOT

New Orleans has a super Epic DIY spot going on right now, I was very impressed with what we found. It reminded me of alien pods (a spot that used to be in Austin TX) with bigger tranny to skate and more room to move around. NOLA has a skate scene thats about to blow up. stay tuned

Rainy days In Georgia turned into a awesome time over at North Georgia Skatepark. It’s been 7 years from our last demo there. Loretta the owner is the nicest woman ever! Thank you so much for everything you did for us. If your ever in Tunnel Hill (Northern Georgia) go cruise around.

Some Highlights from the 4 epic days we had in Raleigh with Dan Murphy

RALEIGH NORTH KAKA RULES!

North Carolina was filled with spots, I got my board tossed in the water twice trying a trick.. I can’t wait to get back and get it. Cody and Matt got down at every spot.  I gotta give a big thanks to Dan Murphy for the awesome couple of days. 

A huge thank you to Dan Murphy for hosting our ass’s and showing us around. Definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Love that southern hospitality. Indy Dawwg!

Where the Vox are we: Raleigh, North Carolina

Dan Murphy , the man, the myth, the legend. See that 17 stair rail dan is standing next to? Legend has it that Dan was on tour with Jamie Thomas from Cali to the East coast and one of the last stops was Raleigh NC , where this rail still stands. Jamie brought Dan on tour after he saw his sponser tape. Dan had already done lipslide on the rail but when Jamie saw it in person, he asked Dan to do it again. Dan said he was all set , then Jamie said do it again right now , our guys will film it , Atiba will shoot the photo and you’ll be on Mystery. So Dan did it and that was the first Mystery ad ever besides a logo they ran earlier that year. Talk about performing under pressure. Big thanks to Dan for making our stop in Raleigh NC awesome. 

Where the Vox are we? VU skateshop

Two days ago we cruised over to VU SKATESHOP in Baltimore MD and had an awesome mini ramp sesh, big thanks to Gary and the VU guys for having us!

Where the Vox are We? : DC, Baltimore

We hit Downtown DC and skated some really smooth nice spots, After that we headed outside the city to this epic bank to angle Iron ledge, Bachinsky , Cody Mac and Matt Fennel walked away with about 3 tricks each , it was epic. The Next day we hit VU skateshop in Baltimore for a quick ramp jam. After VU we headed to the epic spot cascades , got out the generator and lights and saw some more tricks go down. oh yeah its FREEZING out in case your wondering.
